Jacqueline Skay is Certified by the State Bar of California as a Specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law.

Ms. Skay's practice involves the drafting of trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney, and community property agreements; probating estates; establishing, administering and terminating conservatorships and guardianships; and administering trusts.

Ms. Skay earned a juris doctor degree in 1990 and an LLM in Taxation in 2002, both from the University of San Diego School of Law. She graduated with honors with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and public administration from San Diego State University (1988).

Admitted to practice before the courts of California, Ms. Skay is actively involved in the following professional organizations: State Bar of California, member: Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section; Bar Association of Northern San Diego County, sustaining member, Past Chairperson: Probate, Estate Planning, Trust and Tax Section, Board of Directors, 1994-1997, and member: Elder Law Section; Lawyers Club of San Diego, Past President - North County Chapter; San Diego County Bar Association; North Coastal Estate Planning Counsel; and North County Estate Planning Group.

Ms. Skay has been chosen by the prestigious CEB (Continuing Education of the Bar - California) to teach continuing education classes to other estate planning attorneys. She also frequently writes and speaks publicly on the subject of estate planning.

A committed community volunteer, Ms. Skay has served in the following leadership positions: Judge Pro Tempore, North County Judicial District; President, American Association of University Women, Escondido-San Marcos Branch; Club Service Directory, Escondido Rotary; Trustee, Secretary of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Property Facilities Committee: Southern California College of Optometry; Past Chair: Board of Directors and Chair: Endowment Committee, Boys and Girls Club of San Marcos; Legal Council: San Marcos Educational Foundation; Executive Committee: California Center for the Arts Escondido; Former Member of the Parish Counsel and Former Chair of the Endowment Committee, San Marcos Lutheran Church.
